Its incredibly wide stretch of fine sand beaches and the very gentle slope towards the sea makes Canet en Roussillon the ideal, safe spot for children.

First aid stations are open from the first weekend of may until the end of september.

The first aid station situated "Plage du Grand Large" is run by qualified staff and has the facilities ans equipment to welcome disabled people:

                      - 2 à 3 lifeguards are in charge of assisting going to and into the water.                           
                      - Equipment for the use of wheelchairs
                      - Welcoming area
                      - 1 floating wheelchair                             
                      - WC
                      - Shower

Canet en Roussillon has 17 beach attendants and the sand is cleaned on a daily basis. The beach is also equipped with many showers ans bins.
